This week (and all of last week too), Tim has been rearranging, fixing, installing, etc stuff in our house. I am so lucky that he's so knowledgeable about home repairs, cars, building things, etc because he saves us a ton of money!! And I am lucky to have him as my hubby!! :-)
His accomplishments include:
1. Putting all the new bedroom furniture in our bedroom upstairs in one afternoon by himself.
2. Building a box spring for our new mattress.
3. Creating my hobby room in the previous office (required moving furniture).
4. Making a new bedroom out of the previous hobby room (required moving furniture).
5. Installing a new garbage disposal (took 2 days).
6. Installing recessed lighting in the breakfast room (took 2 days).
And more than this too, but I can't remember them all. Any one of these tasks probably would've put me & my back out of commission for a week. He's so lucky to have a strong back!! :-)
Last night I hosted March Madness Bunco (which Tim also grilled hamburgers for), and tonite Dad & Carol are coming for the weekend. We've had some up & down weather this week, which will continue thru the weekend. It's been raining off & on, which should stop today around noon, then the cold front hits, temps drop, and Fri/Sat night will be in the 30's. Welcome to North Texas in the Spring, where temps can change 30-50 degrees in a span of hours. Where you can have cold/rainy, then sunny/nice, then strong winds, then back again..... Just keep the tornados away, and we'll be fine!!
The Allen ISD job fair is tomorrow morning, which kicks off teacher job searching again, for the 5th year now (for me). I hate the cattle-call job fairs, but I feel like if I don't go, I'm missing out on a possible opportunity, and that this will be my year. Weird, huh?
Grateful for: that I still have my current job, regardless of whether I ever find a teaching job.
